Internet
As the Internet and the World Wide Web have exploded into our culture and are replacing other media forms for people to find news, weather, sports, recipes, yellow pages and a million other things, the new struggle is not only for time on the computer at home, but for time on the Internet connection.
Wireless internet (wifi) is not the same as mobile broadband. A mobile broadband connection can be used anywhere that you get a mobile phone signal, while a home wifi connection has about 100m radius in which you can use it before then signal becomes too weak.
Many of you will be familiar with wireless networks in public places: often called wireless hot spots. These can be found in hotels, coffee shops, fast food outlets, airports, railway stations etc. It is also not uncommon to run a wireless network in the home, either self provided or by purchase/lease from an Internet Service Provider.
